We took a short trip to Perry Lake last week. We dodged a few raindrops, and then a few more, and had a steady shower early Friday morning, but overall, it was a really nice time. In fact it was a bit of a well planned, but rare treat. We had all five of our boys and a neighbor boy that has been spending summer days with us. Swimming and short boat rides on the Bass Tracker were the dominating
activities. We were e
ating food cooked over an open fire and of course we enjoyed the traditional s'mores.
There was also bug catching, rock skipping (or plunking) and some
board games played. Oh, and the boat was under water as we were trying to pull it out Friday evening. The water was very rough.
